Reliance Industries gains over 5 per cent to close at Rs 979.It was RIL's highest single day gain in 15 months.
Lupin, BPCL, Tata Motors, ONGC, Idea Cellular, Wipro, Maruti Suzuki, State Bank of India, HDFC and BHEL were also among the gainers.
On the other hand, Tech Mahindra, Bank of Baroda, Zee Entertainment, Cipla and Coal India were fell down today.
